My clients consistently tell me that the most significant thing I do is help them see things from another perspective. We often don’t get a say in what life serves up, but we do have a choice in how we perceive what happens to us and how we will respond to it.

As your coach, I commit to helping you change the way you view yourself and the circumstances in your life. Because a shift in perspective can change everything, creating delicious ease and exciting new possibilities.

I will also provide you with practical, evidence-based tools and strategies to assist you in making the changes you desire in your life.

Although I will function as your coach and not your therapist, our work benefits from the clinical training and experience I’ve had as a licensed psychologist. I use my clinical expertise in the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to inform the work we do shifting perspectives and upgrading limiting thought patterns and unhelpful behaviors. I also integrate my training in mind-body practices (e.g., mindfulness, meditation, guided imagery), spiritual and existential issues, writing for wellness, and behavioral medicine.

What kind of issues can
we work on in coaching?

There are so many things we can work on together in coaching! We can address health and wellness related issues, such as reaching weight loss goals, learning stress management and self-care strategies, and improving sleep.

We can also address emotional and/or spiritual well-being, such as living a more meaningful, purposeful, and joyful life.

Or we can address career related issues, such as working toward a promotion or raise, or balancing the competing demands of your professional and personal life.

I am also trained as an academic coach, so if you would like to work on time management, procrastination, study skills, and strategies for completing that course, program, or dissertation you’re working on, I can help with that, too.
